The Creation Summit invites District leaders to connect, share insights, and co-create the pathways that will shape a stronger, more vibrant District with greater resources and reach. This is a beginning: a chance to build something new from the strength of what each District brings to the table.
Join fellow leaders for two days of interactive collaboration, planning, and creating a shared vision as we design the future of our Districts together.
Of special note is District 6400’s just chartered Canada South. It started as satellite club that met casually and when they reached 16 members they decided to form their own club. The name refers to the geographic fun fact that Windsor, Ontario, lies south of Detroit, its neighbor across the international border.
Dr. Prudy Nelson & Dr. Francis M Jeffries
The new clubs are:
- Beacon RC, in New York, D7210
- Calgary Pan African Collective RC, in Alberta, D5360
- Bangladeshi Americans RC, in New York, D7255
- Mohkinstsis Urban Indigenous RC, Alberta, D5360
As the names of the new clubs suggest, we are gaining members through new clubs that are reaching out to specific ethnic groups and and special-interest areas.
Is there a specific demographic or special interest that is crying out for a new club in your district? If so, then perhaps the North American Club Creation Team is for you. It may be that your District is already involved in the Club Creation Team. If not, email Patrick Longano: Patrick@clubcreationteam.org, and share your thoughts for a new club in your community. That’s all it takes to get started. And remember:
There’s an app for that!

Cunningham’s connection to Rotary began in the mid-1990s, when he was honoured with a Paul Harris Award by a Rotary Club in Calgary for his work with Children and Family Services. At the time, he viewed the award as recognition for his past contributions. However, an Elder in his life offered a different perspective.
“He told me that receiving an honour like that meant I now had a responsibility,” Cunningham recalls. “I had to honour the award by continuing the work.”
May 15, 2026: On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Rotary Zones 28 & 32 will host Unite for Peace, a free worldwide Zoom gathering featuring Rotary Peace Fellows, musicians, storytellers, humanitarian leaders, and voices from communities affected by conflict and displacement. This is not a political event; it is an opportunity to listen, reflect, and explore how ordinary people around the world are building peace through courage, creativity, service, and human connection.
